Joan Miró original lithograph signed and numbered in pencil 1967 Poetry and art intertwine in this color lithograph which accompanies a poem penned by the artist himself. Miró has said “I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music.” Indeed, this work could be read like a poem, each stroke a new line and each color a new rhythm. Looking at this work closer, the central figure can be likened to a mythical, bug-eyed creature. It looks directly at the audience, tempting us to step closer in order to decipher its narrative. The creature is decorated with colorful dots and grids, all of which are characteristic of Miro’s artistic language. In all, Le Lézard aux plumes d’or exemplifies the beauty of surrealist story telling. Created in 1967, this color lithograph is hand signed by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 - Palma, 1983) in pencil in the lower right margin. This work is I/XX.  in pencil in the lower left margin; printed by the Atelier Mourlot, Paris. The work coming with certificate of authenticity from The Farkash Gallery ]]>
